This is Two Goods for $5.00 or $20.00!
Buy 1 ticket for $5.00 or 5 tickets for $20.00.
The first Good: buy a ticket go into the draw to win one of two prizes:
- a whole lamb or pig on the spit delivered and set up ready to feed a party of 30 (*see details below);
- a copy of the Two Good Cook Book featuring commentary and from literary luminaries such as Thomas Keneally and Charlotte Wood, 70 fabulous recipes from Angie Sceats and a pantheon of celebrated chefs and photographs by Petrina Tinslay.
The second Good: we'll use proceeds from the raffle to add to our annual contribution to the Two Good Foundation's Christmas Feast at St Canice's Church Soup Kitchen in December.
We've been supporting the Two Good Foundation since 2010 and each year we contribute a lamb and a spit to the annual Christmas soup kitchen dinner, served to about 80 people. But we hope this raffle will raise enough money to pay for all the other food and gifts.
So the more raffle tickets you buy, the more we'll be able to offer the soup kitchen guests at Christmas dinner.
Please note, your order number is your raffle ticket number so keep your order confirmation email somewhere safe. The winning ticket will be drawn at a special ceremony around the barbecue at Feather and Bone in the afternoon of Saturday 21 December.
*A whole pig or lamb large enough to feed 30 people threaded on the spit pole and ready to cook, a bag of Australian hardwood charcoal and the bbq spit. We'll deliver and set up the spit and then pick it up afterwards - within 20 km of Feather and Bone. If you're further afield, we'll charge a small delivery fee.
Two Good Foundation & Feather and Bone
Rob Caslick, who started Two Good, first approached us in 2010 with an irresistible and compelling proposal. The way he saw it, the best food was going to well-fed people and the people on the margins who were most in need had the least access to high quality, nutritious food. He wanted to turn the tables on this equation and give people in need the very best, most nutritious food he could find, which is where we came in.
Since 2010, we've been supporting Two Good's various projects, including supplying meat for the weekly Two Good St Canice's soup kitchen and for cooking classes for teenage mothers at shelters. Over the last ten years, Two Good has grown from strength to strength and benefited from the efforts of a growing team of talented dynamos including the wonderful Vanessa Watson and Angie Sceats. The Two Good Work Work programme supports women transitioning from domestic violence shelters back into the work force by providing training and work placements at food businesses like ours.
We are very proud and pleased to include women from the Two Good Work Work programme on our Feather and Bone team.
