Bone Broth (without the hype)

23 Jul 2024by Mrs Feather

It's peak broth season so it's a good time to filter the hype and boil it down to the real questions.

DO THE BONES IN MY BROTH COME FROM THE HEALTHIEST, PASTURE-RAISED ANIMALS AVAILABLE?

And, why does that matter?

The reason it matters is because not all Bone Broth is created equal. After all, when there are only two ingredients in foundational bone broth and one of them is water, the quality of those bones is pretty crucial.

As long as we've been boiling meat over fire we've been enjoying the nutritional benefits of water infused with the minerals, gelatin, vitamins and glycosaminoglycans derived from animal bones. The healthier the animal and it's bones, the more goodness in the broth.

One of the health benefits of nutritious, gelatinous Bone Broth is improved digestion and we know that a healthy gut is the cornerstone of a healthy body. The more biodiversity in the system that your food comes from, the more beneficial, microbial diversity you'll develop in your gut.

Which is why it's so important to eat plants and animals that are raised on living soils and pastures.

And also why it's so important that the bones in your broth come from the healthiest animals available.

Fortunately, you're in the right place.
